RNA – Leading Qom’s weekly Friday congregational prayers at the Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S), Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi spoke of this weeks’ major international and national events in the second part of his sermon.
Speaking on the characteristics of actively waiting and preparing for the arrival of Imam al-Mahdi (A), Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that one of the hallmarks of our sincerity in serving the Imam (AJ) while he is in occultation is to serve his representative – the wali al-faqih (guardian-jurist). “We should humbly and sincerely learn from the Supreme Leader and respect and adhere to his rule,” he explained.
Emphasizing the importance of the “resistance economy” to solving Iran’s economic problems, His Eminence said: “If we want to confront the sanctions and threats of the enemies, we must discuss the resistance economy and define its frameworks; The authorities should not just consider seminars, congresses, interpretations and analysis to address this important issue.”
The trustee of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S) stated that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] defined “resistance economy” as “an economy which despite the pressures, sanctions and intense hostilities can determine the growth and prosperity of the country.”
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that Ayatollah Khamenei has stated in a speech while visiting the north-western province of East Azerbaijan that the government’s dependence on oil revenues and the economy’s reliance on the government are the fundamental problem of Iran’s economic issues and he recommended that officials make use of the country’s internal capacities.
The Friday prayer of Qom stated that Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the tyrannical US government is Iran’s main enemy and he also stressed that the late Imam Khomeini (RA) said “America is the great Satan.” The meaning of these words is that we cannot let our hearts be won over by the US’ [false], but rather the Iranian people must fight and neutralize the US’ plots and malicious sanctions with their strong will and determination to fight.”
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained that the preservation of Muslim unity is one of the characteristics of waiting for Imam al-Mahdi (AJ). “We must preserve our unity in order to progress and achieve the lofty goals of our revolution and to fight and defeat the enemy. Today, all Muslims must fight the enemy who seeks to destroy Islam. They make no distinction between Shi’iahs and Sunnis – We must unite and steer clear of their plots to divide us.”
The renowned scholar continued by explaining that the mysterious, dangerous and bloodthirsty DAESH (ISIL) have committed many crimes in the name of Islam and were supplied with American weapons. These terrorists are not only the enemy of Shi’ah Muslims, but they are also the enemies of Sunni Muslims and Christians as well. Only the Zionists are immune from the evils committed by these Takfiris.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi thanked Iranians for their enthusiastic participation in the 22 Bahman (11 February) rallies throughout the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying they provided an example of the unity and solidarity of the people against the enemies’ threats and plots.
He also condemned pride based on race, tribal allegiance, family, skin colour, gender etc saying that people do not choose these characteristics, but they come from God alone. He stressed that the Holy Quran says that God judges people based on their genuine piety and not material values.
