The Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Media sources have reported on the execution of 21 Coptic Christians who were kidnapped by DAESH in Libya. The occurrence of such incidents, shows the anti-Muslim face of Takfiri elements and the grave danger these groups pose to all. Public opinion in the Muslim world will not forget the crimes of these groups due to the West’s support for them as well as some of the reactionary rulers in the region who allow these groups to create disasters in Muslim countries in order achieve their interests and to tarnish the merciful face of Islam and to unleash a wave of Islamophobia upon the world..

The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom condemns this crime committed by DAESH wherein they executed a group of Egyptian Christians in Libya. We express our concern with the development of this group’s activities in Islamic countries express. The only way to stop the growth of DAESH’s crimes is to promote unity in the Islamic world against the Takfiri phenomenon.

May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be with you,

Mohammad Yazdi,
Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom
