RNA – At this week’s Friday congregational prayers at Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’umah, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri offered his appreciation for the widespread participation of the people of Iran in rallies celebrating the 36th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, telling the believers “I thank you God-seeking and revolutionary people, who offered your blood and rose up for this cause, for your glorious presence [in the rallies],” and added that the rallies were a blow to the arrogant powers.
He added that the massive presence of people in the world swallowed the disbelief and emphasizes Iran’s honour and dignity, and added: “On the 22nd of Bahman (22nd of February), the Iranian nation showed [the entire world] that anyone who wants to humiliate this nation will face a reciprocal response... As long as the people show their [allegiance to the government], the enemies cannot threaten our society.”
His Eminence added that an American sociologist has stated that their research shows that all discourses and doctrines faded over time, except the doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent). “Today, the authorities of different countries recognise our Islamic system.”
Referring to recent remarks made by US President Barack Obama and other officials regarding the presence of Iran in the P5+1 negotiations is due to the sanctions, Ayatollah Bushehri responded, saying: “I don’t know if [Obama] has cotton in his ears and his eyes closed to say that the sanctions are the cause of negotiations. This isn’t true! You saw our progress in various issues like nuclear power, space exploration and missile technology and commanded us that we negotiate so you can control our nation!”
His Eminence emphasized that the Iranian people came to speak to the status of the Islamic Revolution and of Islam on the 22nd of Bahman and will stand up for their cause until the end and will never retreat.
Regarding international news, Ayatollah Bushehri discussed the recent developments in Yemen saying that there is good news coming from Yemen and he is hopeful that the heroic people of Yemen the Ansarullah Movement can protect their independence and give a hard slap to the enemies.
Mentioning Imam Khomeini’s historic edict against Salman Rushdie for his vicious book “The Satanic Verses” and the recently published cartoons mocking Islam’s beloved Prophet Muhammad (S), the revered scholar that there has been a long chain of Islamophobic attacks launched against Muslims.
