RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Hashem Salempour referred to the consequences of the recent letter written by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, to the youth of the West. He explained that the Leader’s letter is a form of religious propagation and in line with the letters that the Prophet Muhammad (S) sent to four of the leaders of the world – the King of Persia, King of the Roman Empire, the King of Egypt and the King of the Abyssinia – wherein the Noble Prophet (S) invited them to Islam.
Overseas missionary work is one of the blessings of the Leader’s letter in the world, the speaker at the Holy Shrine of Lady Zaynab (S) stated. Most of the rulers of the world are afraid of the effects of Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter and the clarification of the truth. This because, the letter neutralized the West’s program of Islamophobia and exposes their false Islam by asking Western youth to discover the truth of Islam by investigating its original sources.
Hujjat al-Islam Salempour explained that Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter to the youth of North America and Europe was based on the Quranic verse, wherein God Almighty states: “Those who deliver the messages of God and fear Him, and do not fear any one but God; and God is sufficient to take account” [33:39]. In this verse, God explains that those who propagate the divine message to mankind and due to the grace of God, they will have a positive affect which will become clear to all in the near future. There is a narration which states that “knowledge will spread throughout the world from the holy city of Qom.”
Referring to the sacred system of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent), His Eminence explained that we [Shi’ah] believe that after the Holy Prophet (S), the Ahlul-Bayt have guardianship over the Muslims. In regards to this issue, there is no doubt because the Quran says, “Oh you who have faith! Obey God and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you” [4:59]. Although the Twelfth Imam is in the greater occultation, we still must follow his commands – which state that we must follow the representative of the Imam who is the Wali al-Faqih (Guardian-Jurist).
Regarding the great crimes of the Takfiri terrorist groups, Hujjat al-Islam Salempour states the agents of the arrogant powers of the world seek to “blacken and distort the name of Islam.” They do this by introducing these groups as representatives of Muslims but our Leader has exposed their plan in an indirect way by writing this letter to the youth of the West by inviting them to examine true Islam from its sources.
