RNA – In a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani stated that he is aware of the great reputation of the Nigerian Shi’ah scholar and leader and thanked him for his service, commitment and courage as the leader of the Shi’ah of Nigeria.
His Eminence referred to the following verse of the Holy Quran: “Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with God: so of them is he who accomplished his vow, and of them is he who yet waits, and they have not changed in the least,” [33:23] and stated to Shaykh Zakzaky: “During this time, you have been able to persevere for Islam and to achieve your lofty goals and you sacrificed your three sons on the path of Islam. You truly sacrificed yourself for Islam.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated that today, the Islamic world faces many enemies. “It appears that the work of each of these enemies is different but they all follow the same goal, and all of them are united against Islam,” he explained.
The renowned scholar in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stressed that all the enemies of Islam are in contact behind-the-scenes with the United States and the Zionist regime and it is from them where the various groups receive support and guidance, saying: “These groups are spreading Islamophobia in the US and Europe; in Nigeria they established Boko Haram; in Syria and Iraq, they created DAESH to create civil war among Muslims and in many parts of the Islamic world, they have glorified Salafism and Takfirism.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that the only way out of these plots is through permanent unity and [strong] relations among the countries and people of the Islamic world. His Eminence advised that there should be continuous joint meetings between the scholars of the various Islamic countries to monitor their [common] enemies and to find solutions to these issues.
His Eminence stated that the movement of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) is a suitable model for the fight against the global arrogance and said: “Imam Khomeini followed the path of the prophets and like them, he awakened the nation and then led the people to fight the oppressors. Our duty now is to make the first step to awakening the Muslim nations and strive to establish greater unity among them.”
