RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi has met with the administrators responsible for women’s affairs from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance at Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S).
His Eminence emphasized Iranian officials must heed the call of chastity and hijab, saying: “Officials must protect the position of women in the same way that the Ahlul-Bayt (A) have maintained. Nobody has the right to divert women away from the path that Ahlul-Bayt (A) have introduced.
He referred to the supplication of salutation read when visiting Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah’s (S) grave, saying that in this supplication we request: “Oh Fatimah! Intercede for me, so that I may enter Heaven!”
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi added that this sentence was explained by Lady Ma’sumah’s (S) brother, Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (A), as a sign of Lady Ma’sumah’s (S) lofty position. “Three of the Imams have stated that if we make a pilgrimage to Lady Ma’sumah’s (S) shrine, we are guaranteed a place in heaven,” he stated.
He explained that the people of Qom are blessed to live in the presence of Lady Ma’sumah (S). One of the blessings of her presence is the shaping and victory of the Islamic Revolution. “We can consider the victory of the Islamic Revolution as one of the chief blessings of Lady Ma’sumah (S). Her presence in Qom and the presence of one of the shrines of the Ahlul-Bayt (A) in Qom, is a cause of the formation of the Islamic Revolution,” he said.
The renowned scholar explained that that when people refer to Qom, they refer to the Holy Shrine, the Islamic Seminary, the sources of emulation and the centres for specialization in religious sciences that Qom is renowned for. “These are signs of the special favours which God Almighty has bestowed on this holy city,” he stated.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi emphasized that Lady Ma’sumah (S) is a role model for an Islamic lifestyle, saying: “If we want an Islamic lifestyle, we must take lessons from the Ahlul-Bayt (A). Lady Ma’sumah (S) is an example for all people, especially for girls and women. This holy lady is an example of guardianship, migration, chastity, propagation of Islamic knowledge and other divine values, which she exemplified during the suffocating Abbasid period.”
“We must do whatever we can with the brief teachings that Lady Ma’sumah has given us. We must create awareness of this grand lady so that everyone recognizes her. With this work, we can propagate the Islamic lifestyle amongst society,” Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi concluded.
