RNA - Senior cleric Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said on Wednesday that political stands of Iran and Saudi Arabia should be drawn up by the two sides' Ulema and elite and not the low-profile extremist people, IRNA reported.

Ayatollah Makarem made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Hossein Sadeghi on Wednesday.

Referring to the headlines and articles published in the media, he said despite differences of opinion and stands of both sides' leaders, no groups of Muslims are entitled to insult the others.

The enemies try to promote Shiaphobia through wide scale propaganda campaigns and all should be vigilant in dealingd with it, he said.

He advised the new ambassador to focus on removing minor and less complicated issues during his tenure in Saudi Arabia.

For example, he said, the good behavior of Saudi officials towards Iranian Haji pilgrims can leave positive impacts on the public opinion as well as Iranian officials about Saudi Arabia, he said.
