RNA - Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi, Qom’s Friday prayer leader, reminded the believers that under Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi’s Western-backed monarchy, Iran suffered from dictatorship, hardship, dependence upon foreign powers for everything, the corruption of morals, and many other issues.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained that under the Shah’s brutal monarchy, the arrogant United States controlled and thus humiliated the people of Iran and that losing control over Iran due to the Islamic Revolution was a sensitive point for them. “The United States will never stop [their aggression] and we [the clergy] must explain the true face and the treacheries of the United States, United Kingdom and the Zionist regime to the people,” he stated.
“As well, we must take fighting against their threats, especially the cultural and economic threats, seriously. We should not trust them in any negotiations,” His Eminence added.
The trustee of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi, made the remarks during his Friday prayer sermon.
Referring to remarks made recently by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran needs to be able to understand the factors causing sedition against the Islamic government from within Iran, recognise its true enemies, promote unity among Muslims and strive to deal decisively with those who seek to divide Muslims as important guidelines to ensure Iran’s national unity.
In another part of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated the sanctions placed on Iran by the United States and the arrogant powers are their weapon to eliminate Islam and our nation’s important values from the Iranian people.
His Eminence warned Iranian officials from respecting or glorifying the enemies, rather they must promote Iran’s “Resistance Economy” and respect their own country and realize Iran’s power and abilities in order to fight against the sanctions.
At the end of his Friday prayer’s sermon, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi congratulated the believers gathered on the joyous birth anniversaries of the Noble Prophet of God, Muhammad al-Mustafa (S), and the sixth Imam, Ja’far ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (A) and described their great virtues and attributes.
