RNA - This week’s Friday prayer preacher in Iran’s capital Tehran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami strongly condemned the terrorist attack in France and “believe that Islam does not allow the killing of innocent people, be it in Paris, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

The cleric also criticized west for sponsoring and arming terrorists saying “US dollars, UK pounds and the European Union’s euros are to blame for these killings.”

“These terrorists are your creation and have been nurtured by political support from you and your allies,” he added.

The interim Friday prayer preacher said: “You breed these beasts and dragons, but do not heed the fact that the one who sows the seeds of wind reaps the crop of typhoons.”

Cherif and Said Kouachi, the two Parisian brothers suspected of the massacre at the Charlie Hebdo magazine are reportedly on the run. Since the shooting on Wednesday the gunmen were reported to have robbed a petrol station near Villers-Cotterets, 70 miles north-east of Paris, and driven off with assault rifles and rocket launchers in the back of their car.

Meanwhile, at 8:30 am GMT on Friday there were reports of hostages taken in Dammartin-en-Goele, 25 km north-east of Paris.
