RNA - Iraqi top cleric, Grand Ayatollah Bashir Najafi in his message to the 28th International Islamic Unity Conference said “different Islamic factions are seemingly defending Islam while they damage the holy religion of Islam in the form of Takfirism with plundering and mass murdering of the civilians on top of their agenda.”
Referring to “enemy’s plot” against Islam, his eminence said these plots are aimed to wipe out Islam from the face of the earth and we are currently witnessing remnants of that [plot] across the globe.
Hundreds of Sunni and Shia scholars and intellectuals from more than 60 countries are gathered in the Tehran-hosted conference under the slogan of “Unified Islamic Ummah: Challenges and Strategies” to discuss ways to promote unity and solidarity in the Muslim world.
This year’s conference will focus on problems facing the Islamic world such as the threat posed by the Takfiri militants.
