RNA – Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli, at a meeting of spiritual advisors to governors from across Iran, said that the people should feel safe, comfortable and free in regard to their government. He said that if a problem is imposed, it must be resolved because it is not easy to tolerate: “If a problem comes up, it should be well understood and brought to the authorities so that they country does not suffer security and political problems.”
The renowned interpreter of the Quran stressed that the best way to achieve political security is by providing economic security for the people. He added that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) has repeatedly emphasized upon the “Resistance Economy” is something the people should support so that the policies and administration of the country are successful.
He added that the Iranian people can aid the Islamic system of governance. “The Resistance Economy does not mean importing goods – this is a misunderstanding. A true Resistance Economy is when the people stand on their own. Importing goods does not create a Resistance Economy!” he stressed.
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli said the intent of the Resistance Economy is to stand against foreigners and that protecting the country’s wealth is a matter of resistance. He said that the country’s leaders, ministers and officials must value the trust of the people and not fool them.
He added that control of the country’s finances should not be in the hands of those who cannot manage the country’s budget and oil revenues. Some think the country can be run solely on oil and gas revenues. Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli stressed that oil and gas revenues are assets and capital, not income.
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli stated that God has given us everything, but we import wheat and fodder from other countries when Iran has the ability to produce these crops itself. If Iran’s agricultural sector was managed properly, production would go up.
His Eminence explained that Iran has six million young people who are unemployed even though Iran has the ability to provide for them. He stressed that without economic safeguards there cannot be security and politics without economics is not a correct path for governing the country.
Regarding other regional issues, Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli said that around Iran, there are minefield and barbed wire, but added that the security of our country has been blessed by the blood of its martyrs. “In the east, we have the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and in the West, the ISIL terrorists are also committing great crimes.”
He added that the shaykhs ruling the Persian Gulf countries have turned their countries into American military bases. Also, Turkey has signed treaties with the enemies of Islam and has given them military bases on their territory. Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli also the ISIL is fiercer due to Turkish aid.
