Rasa - An exhibition of works by 50 artists and calligraphers, with the subject of Holy Quran and Hadith from Iran, Syria, Turkey, Iraq and the UAE, will be displayed at the Islamic world Thuluth Calligraphy Festival.
RNA - According to the head of the festival Iraj Naeemaei, the exhibition aims at providing a link between calligraphy and art of pictorial carpet. The best works in the exhibition will be presented to the artists and carpet weavers in the form of designs for pictorial carpets.
The festival will be held in January 28 in memory of the late artist Ayatollah Seyyed Morteza Nojoumi, in Tehran, Mehr News reported.
Ayatollah Nojoumi was one of the interpreters of Quran, member of the Academy of Arts and a literally unforgettable face. His works are part of the exhibition at the festival.
Works of the late artists Habibollah Fazaeli, Ayatollah Najafi Zanjani and Mohammadreza Ghanbari will be displayed during the festival.
