As the year draws to a close, DFW [Dallas–Fort Worth, TX] Metro Muslims is reaching out to the community  through its “One Family - One Message” campaign.

 

"As American Muslims, it is our religious and civic responsibility to present fellow citizens authentic information about Islam and Muslims, encourage healthy dialog and bring about a positive change in the society." said Riyaz Lareef, Director Outreach, ICNA Dallas.

 

The messages on the billboards are designed to encourage viewers to understand the common roots of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to build a better community that keeps harmony and well-being of its members at its core, he said.

 

The campaign includes a billboard with a message “One Family – One Message” in South Dallas area expected to reach more than 700,000 people every week. The message invites the public to call 1-877-WHY-ISLAM hotline or visit the website http://www.whyislam.org to learn and ask questions about Islam (English and Spanish).

 

Visitors to the website and the callers to the hotline can request a free copy of an English Translation of Quran and other free Islamic literature.

 

“One Family – One Message” campaign, launched by Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Dallas Chapter, began Dec. 15 and runs through January 9.

 

Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is one of the largest, non-profit, independent, and grassroots organization of American Muslims with several chapters and affiliates across the nation. ICNA is also a leading American Muslim organization dedicated to the betterment of society through the promotion of Islamic values. Since 1968, ICNA has worked to build relations between communities by devoting itself to education, outreach, social services and relief efforts.
