“Our foreign minister’s [recent] letter to the [foreign] ministers of the world showed that we will never give up our rights, and [that] the P5+1 would be responsible for any problems that might occur in the nuclear talks,” Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani told worshippers at weekly Friday Prayers in Tehran.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif wrote a letter to his counterparts from all world countries on December 24, expounding on Iran’s position in the nuclear negotiations between Tehran and the six states – Russia, China, Britain, France, the US and Germany.
Zarif said in the letter that Iran has stood up to illegitimate and humiliating demands by certain countries and has firmly rejected them, saying Tehran has never accepted such demands in nuclear talks with the P5+1 group.
Ayatollah Emami-Kashani further criticized Western governments for levelling accusations on Iran regarding the country’s intention for making nuclear bomb and described them as “false and deceitful”.
