Rasa - After meeting Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in Syria, Iran's parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani meets Hezbollah chief in Beirut to discuss regional developments.
Larijani meets Hezbollah cheif Nasrallah

RNA - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani arrived in the Lebanese capital on Monday from Damascus, where he had met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad one day earlier.

 

He met with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut before setting out for Iraq, the Lebanese Shiite group said Tuesday.

 

"Nasrallah received Larijani and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Iranian Ambassador in Beirut Mohammad Fathali," Hezbollah said in a Tuesday statement.

 

The Monday meeting tackled recent developments in the region in general and Lebanon in particular, according to the release.

 

The statement did not reveal exactly when or where the meeting took place for "reasons of security."

 

Syria, Iran and Lebanon's resistance movement Hezbollah – along with Palestinian faction Hamas – had all been part of "axis of resistance."

 

On the other side of the equation stood Arab allys of the United Stat that included Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Egypt (under then-president Hosni Mubarak).
