Rasa - Cansuyu Association has opened up a kindergarten school for 135 Gazan orphans, providing a lifeline to the children afflicted by the war.
Kindergarten in Gaza

RNA - The Cansuyu Solidarity Association opened kindergarten in Gaza specified for the children of Gaza who lost their parents during the recent Israeli war on the strip. 135 children attend the school and provide a major contribution to the childrens education.

 

In order to alleviate the burden of war, the children also received psychological counselling. All activities and entertainment are provided by the association. The kindergarten is located Jabaliya and caters for the 4-6 age group, and are catered for by 18 teachers and staff. The majority of the students that come to the school are from the Jabaliya district – 12 come from the camp, 7 from Behy Lahya and 6 from central Gaza.

 

The school that is 950 square metres consists of the kindergarten, playroom, classrooms, cinema, library, eating area, playground and grassed areas. The school has no fee and is focused on looking after orphans. Orphans' families who received invitations to visit the school said that they had many advantages of being at the school.

 

Working at full capacity, they are hoping to increase the capacity of the school. Run by female teachers, the school is officially endorsed by the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education.
