Rasa – Ali Akbar Salehi met with Najaf Ashraf’s Islamic Jurist on the sidelines of his visit to Iraq for attending the ceremony of unveiling Imam Hussein’s new shrine.

Rasa News Agency Reports – During separate meetings last night, Iran’s foreign minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, met with his Holinesses ayatollah Isaq Fayyaz, Sayed Mohammad Saeed Hakim and Ayatollah Bashir Najafi, the Islamic Jurists of Najaf, on the sidelines of his visit to Iraq to attend the ceremony of unveiling Imam Hussein’s new shrine.
In these meetings, the close bilateral ties between Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq, as well as recent regional developments and the situation of the Islamic countries, have been discussed.
Necessity for the Islamic unity and Iran’s role in this unity, as well as the consciousness of the Islamic world against the enemies’ plot for dividing and separating Muslims and resistance against extremism were some of the focuses of these meetings.
The legal authorities, giving their guidance, considered the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main, dominant and respectful supporter of the Islamic world and the source of love to the progeny of the prophet and hoped that the Islamic republic would step toward more honor, magnificence and exaltation.
The building process of Imam Hussein’s new shrine by Iran was also one of the discussing topics of the meetings.
In these meetings, the foreign minister, dissecting the regional issues, considered the Islamic jurist as the pillars of self-confidence and peace in the Muslim world.
He added: “Iranians love toward the progeny of the prophet is an immunity against enemy’s plots.” considering the Iranian nations love towards Imam Hussein as the key for their stability in the challenging world.
Some other plans of the Iranian foreign minister in Najaf was, the pilgrimage of the Imam Ali’s (pbuh) shrine, visiting Imam Hassan Mujtaba library and the tomb of martyred scholar Qureishi.
The minister of foreign affairs attended the unveiling ceremony of Imam Hussain’s new shrine on Tuesday.
