RNA – At the end of his Ba’th al-Kharij (advanced class) at Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi spoke about the political and ideological problems of ISIL.
The revered source of emulation stated that the origins and inspirations of Takfirism are in the dangerous ideologies of the Kharijites, the teachings of [Taqiuddin] ibn Taymiyyah and [Muhammad] ibn Abdul-Wahhab, referring to the founders of three heretical movements in Islamic history.
“There is no doubt who is behind the perversion of the [Islamic] faith and the inflammation of the differences between Muslims. It is the enemies’ policy to pour oil on the fire of sectarianism. Therefore, it is necessary to address them politically, militarily and ideologically – politically through intensified diplomacy, militarily through deterrent force, and ideologically by awareness and education,” the renowned scholar told his students.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi added that the enemy is trying to take advantage of the events and strife in the region. The Zionist entity invited ISIL to attack Muslims from within. As long as Muslims kill other Muslims, they will forget the Palestinian cause and allow Israel to become stronger.
On this basis, Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims scholars from throughout the world met recently at the “World Congress on Extremist and Takfiri Movements in the View of Islamic Scholars” to discuss how to eliminate the sources of Takfiri terrorism and how to prevent the arrogance powers from using Islam for their ominous reasons.
