RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Reza Moayadi-Qomi, a teacher of ba’th al-kharij (advanced studies) in the Holy Islamic Seminary of Qom, has spoken about the “World Congress on Extremist and Takfiri Movements in the View of Islamic Scholars” which is currently being held in Qom and the threat of Takfirism to the Islamic world.
Discussing the objectives and benefits of this conference, His Eminence stated that such international conferences must be well-covered by the international media, so that by their messages, ignorant people become aware of the issue of Takfirism and recognize pure Islam.
Ayatollah Moayedi-Qomi added that the holding of this conference and the gathering of both Sunni and Shi’ite scholars causes the Takfiris to wipe the sleep from their eyes and them to understand that the Islamic world is innocent from the crimes which they have committed.
He also pointed out that this conference should have been held in the first few years after the arrival of the Takfiris to the world scene. “Unfortunately, this conference is very late but since it has begun, it is better than not having it,” he stated.
The revered scholar also stated that the Shi’ite sources of emulation have invited the Wahhabi leaders to debate but they have not accepted. This is because they do not have convincing answers for the questions posed by the Muslims of the world and they cannot prove their own beliefs, thus they reject all invitations to debate with Shi’ite scholars.
Ayatollah Moayadi-Qom added that Islam itself has answered the [false] claims of these Takfiri groups. “Islamic beliefs are clear and understandable and only with correct propagation can pure and true Islam be introduced to the world.”
At the end of the interview, His Eminence stated that the killing of innocent people does not lead people to heaven. “These Takfiri groups are connected to American and British terrorist networks and benefit from [a form of] special support from them. If the entire Islamic community was united, they could bring them to their knees.”
