Due to this, the Ten Day Dawn is opportunity to explain the significance and position of the system of Wilayat al-Faqih its impact on the victory of the Islamic Revolution... The Islamic Revolution gifted spirituality and power to this country and was the cause of the Islamic Awakening for the region and for the world,” His Eminence stated.

Ayatollah Mojtahed-Shabestari also stated that if the Islamic Revolution was led by leaders other than the wise and tactful leadership of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei, certainly the enemies would have overthrown the Revolution and oppressors would once again rule over Iran.

Regarding the sedition of 2009, Ayatollah Mojtahed-Shabestari stated that this event was very important in the history of the Islamic Revolution. He stated that Ayatollah Khamenei has discussed this issue more than ten times in the last few years with the aim that it is never forgotten. The ninth of the Iranian month of Dey refers to the events of December 30, 2009, when Iranians took to the streets of the country in the millions to condemn the “seditious movement,” which was involved in rioting and made allegations of vote fraud after the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – allegations dismissed by the country's legislative and election officials – and to show anger for the riots that took place on Ashura, a day Muslims mark the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam Husayn.]
