Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi:
Rasa – Emphasizing that the retreat of the enemy in different fields is the result of resistance and persistence. Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi said: “In the situation of economic blockage [in Iran], if we could have simple lives, we can fight the sanctions and no [bad] thing would happen to our life and society”
Rasa News Agency Reports – In his meeting with the deputy commander of the IRGC and a group of IRGC generals and officials of the foundation of martyrs and veteran affairs, Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi, emphasizing the importance of noticing the reasons behind the development of Islam at the beginning and rolling-back in other periods, for the elites and scientists, stated: “Thank God, Muslims have been awakened nowadays and want to compensate their roll-back with the impact of the Islamic awakening.”
Citing a Hadith of the prophet of Islam, the Islamic jurist emphasized: “What made Muslims progress was simplistic living, continence and certitude in Islam’s true cults.”
The great Islamic Jurists in the Islamic seminary emphasized that: “Unattainable dreams, glamorous life and attachment to the world, unaware the mankind from divinity. Dream and doubt undermines the fundamental belief and this issue is also one of the factors of lag.”
Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi clarified that: “To claim that Iranians have been forced to become Muslim is a lie. The army of Islam came and rescue Iranians form the Sassanid colonialism. Years after that alters were still on and Iranians became Muslim after they understood it.”
“One of the wests mischief is to make the people of the other countries dependent to luxury and ceremonial equipment, different types of glamorous life, and different industrial equipment and when they become dependent, the west can rule them.” He stated, explaining the luxurious life as a pest.
He added: “If the Islamic fundamentals become strong in our youth and the love of martyrdom was in them, the enemy wouldn’t be able to do anything.” Mentioning that, this strong belief must be yet present in the [heart] of our youth.
Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi assessed the faith of the Islamic republic’s youth as the cause of the enemies fear and emphasized: “Our enemies repeatedly told us that they want to attack Iran but they knew that Iran’s Basij, IRGC, and army youth that are ready for martyrdom would confront them.”
“American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering from mental sickness and commit suicide because they don’t have any goal and their officials send them to the battlefield by the lure of money”he added, describing a life without a goal as null.
Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi, stating that our youth went to the warfront by their love and tendency and added: “In all of our 8 year war we didn’t even have one single suicide record, because our youth were going to war with love and tendency, families were holding their martyrs funeral with love, and this is an important factor to confront the enemy.”
The Islamic jurist, addressing the officials in the meeting said: “We must keep these [factors] eternal and your duty as a commander of IRGC and cultural sections is to keep these flames of faith alive and propagate the simplistic living”
The Islamic jurist, Emphasizing that we must enhance the mentality of resistance in front of the enemy, stated: “The enemy is forced to withdraw in different fields because of this resistance and we are today witnessing this fact in Syria and in the atomic energy issue.”
Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi explained the future of the country and the revolution as bright and added: “God willing, we will live with honor, pride and total independence and under the rule of Islam and we are hopeful that this program will stand still until the uprising of his Excellency the hidden Imam.”
