RNA – In a meeting with Brigadier-General Gholam-Reza Jalali, the director of Iran’s Passive Defence Organization, Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri-Hamadani emphasized on the importance and effectiveness of this organization, saying: “That which has motivated you is your faith and your belief in God. Due to this, you work for the strength of the glorious Islamic system of governance and for Islam,” the renowned source of the emulation explained.
In regards to the great battlefield successes of General Qasem Soleymani, the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, he stated that the renowned and formidable general goes over every action in his mind before proceeding. Many have [better] weapons and equipment but they cannot be as successful as he has been.”
“The enemies have great plans against us,” Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained, “Some of the enemy’s media outlets have said that the war against ISIL will take thirty years to win. This means that they seek to divert Muslims for so long to ensure that Israel can rest securely on the sidelines and they can implement their sinister plans.”
In reference to a narration from Imam Ali (A), Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani added that our duties as Muslims in the present era have become very heavy that we have no room for pleasure and comfort.
In regards to the Quranic verse: “Oh you who believe! Do not take my enemy and your enemy for friends...” [60:1], Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated that these are your enemies and thus you need to understand them and their methods of thinking. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, always unveils the true goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s enemies. “[American president Barack] Obama said: ‘We want to extend to you a hand of friendship,’ but the hand the Americans stretch forth is an iron hand in a velvet glove!” His Eminence stated.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that the Prophet Muhammad (S) emphasized on the importance of having a pure state of thought and mind before worry about the state of military equipment. Before encountering the enemy on the battlefield, it is important to deeply analyze the enemy’s plans in various dimensions first so that we can identify the enemy. “We have narrations which state that war is nothing but deceit,” he stated.
