Rasa - Assistant Commissioner Shahid Imran has urged religious leaders to play role in promoting unity and brotherhood among Muslims in the upcoming month of Muharram.

RNA - He was addressing a meeting of Tehsil Peace Committee at Community Centre the other day. The officials of local administration and over two dozen religious leaders of different sects and schools of thought attended the meeting.


The code of conduct was approved during the meeting.


According to the code of conduct, the volume of loudspeakers would be kept at a low level. Religious scholars would not allow anyone to make inflammatory speeches to hurt religious feelings of others. There would be no wall chalking against any sect.


The religious scholars unanimously agreed upon the code of conduct for the Muharram and assured full cooperation regarding its implementation in true letter and spirit.
