Rasa – In a meeting with the police chief of Iraq’s Najaf province, Ayatollah an-Najafi stressed upon the importance and the need to be aware of the events occurring throughout the Islamic world due to the rise of Takfiri terrorism.

RNA – In a meeting with Brigadier-General Imad Abdus-Sadah, the police chief of the Iraqi province of Najaf, Ayatollah Bashar Husayn an-Najafi, an Indo-Pakistani source of emulation based in the holy city of Najaf, urged religious tolerance and stressed upon on the importance of tightening security in Najaf province as it is home to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (A), which is visited by millions of pilgrims from various Islamic countries.

 

Ayatollah Najafi stressed upon the importance and the need to be aware of the tragic events occurring throughout the Islamic world due to the rise of Takfiri terrorism, saying that Islam is a religion of tolerance and that the Prophet Muhammad (S) and the infallible Ahlul-Bayt (A) emphasized that Islam is a path of tolerance and knowledge and good words. “It is painful that  extremism is spreading throughout the Islamic world and to witness the abuse of Islam,” Ayatollah Najafi explained, according to Rasa News Agency.

 

For his part, the provincial police chief of Najaf gave a summary of the work the police are doing in the interest of security and stability in the southern Iraqi province. Also present at the meeting was the chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Relief of the Displaced in Najaf province, Mohsen at-Tamimi.

 

Ayatollah Najafi explained the need for politicians to learn from past mistakes, which led to significant declines in Iraq’s security, political stability, economic performances and services. He stated that the suffering of Iraq is due to rampant corruption in the financial and administrative sectors as well as placing the interests of partisan and regional politicians above Iraq’s national interests.

 

His Eminence stated that man should serve his brothers in humanity, and pointed to the tragic situation facing the people of Iraq, especially its children, who have been displaced from their homes and subjected to oppression and injustice from to the ISIL Takfiri terrorists and the lackeys of the fascist Ba’th Party. Ayatollah Najafi urged the officials to act promptly against these threats to Iraq’s peace and stability, and not to relent in their fight against terrorism.

 

He also pointed to the importance of the matter of education for the children of the displaced. The basic human right of access to education has been denied to many Iraqi children due to security problems and attacks by Takfiri terrorists.
