Rasa – Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi said: “The service of the police force to the citizens will be recorded in the book of deed as worship”
Rasa News Agency Reports – Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi yesterday met with Mr. Mujtabai commander-in-chief of the police force of Qom. The commander-in-chief in mentioning the important role the police has said: “The only way to have peace and relaxation in a society is to ensure the society is safe and secure.”
He continued in saying that maintaining security and safety in a society is not only the responsibility of the police force but the people only recognize the police for this responsibility. He also mentioned the great presence of the police force in the central office for Media in Qom in order to receive training on proactive educational and cultural issues through using digital software and said: “Teaching subjects related to culture through digital media has had a great effect.”
Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi in emphasizing more arrests to be made on corruption said: “Even though crime has became more sophisticated but for the police force it is something that can be solved, in reality the presence of the police force in all areas of society as promoting good and forbidding evil has a great effect in lowing crime.”
This Islamic jurist in quoting a narration from Imam Sadiq which goes as follow “There will come a time where knowledge would come from Qom and reach the entire world” explained: “On the bases of this narration the same way Qom is mentioned as a role model in Scientific matters for the world, Qom should also be a role model for ethics for the entire world.”
He said: “The city of Qom is known as the capital city of the Islamic Shia world and thus it is important for the officials to have a special look towards the security and prosperity of this city.”
Ayatollah Naser Makarim Shirazi mentioned that the reputation of Qom is the reputation of the Islamic republic and mentioned: “The service the police force do to the citizens would be recorded in the book of deeds as worship.”
The Islamic scholar continued saying logic and insight is a necessity for the police force in order to fight against crime and said: “Even though maintaining security and safety of the society is not only on the shoulders of the police but the people see this responsibility belonging to the police force.”
