The second type of guidance is such that God guides the believer toward choosing the right path towards Him.

Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi explained that the people of Yemen have been given divine insight due to their sincerity and striving on the path of God. “We hope that the promise of God includes them and that they are successful,” His Eminence said, according to Rasa News Agency.

In order to be successful with this plot, they have to create division and conflict among the Muslims.”

However, His Eminence explained that there very few [major] disputes among Muslims. All have the same Quran and they all perform the Hajj pilgrimage while following the same rituals.

Speaking of the commonalities among the Shi’ites, which include the Zaydi sect, who form the majority of Yemen’s Shi’ite population, he stated that the Zaydis believe in the Quran and the lofty status of the  Ahlul-Bayt (A): “There are many more commonalities between us (Twelvers) and the Zaydis in comparison to other Muslims. We are close to you and you are close to us. The overall differences among the Muslims is small. However, the difference between us and the Zaydis are even fewer.”

In conclusion, the professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stated that he is observing the situation in Yemen and that he is praying for the success and triumph of the revolution in this country.
