RNA – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has gone hiking in the Alborz mountains north of Tehran for the first time after undergoing prostate surgery in early September.
According to Press TV, Ayatollah Khamenei was accompanied by his entourage in the mountains during the early morning hours of Friday, October 10.
Ayatollah Khamenei, who often goes hiking during his leisure time, said the hike was arranged by the recommendations of his physicians who said physical exercise could be beneficial to his recovery process.
On September 15, the Leader was discharged from hospital after undergoing a successful prostate surgery.
Ayatollah Khamenei was hospitalized at one of Tehran’s public hospitals and underwent prostate surgery on September 8. Many Iranians and foreigners visited the Supreme Leader in the hospital.
