RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Sa’di, the Friday prayer leader of Qom, met with Hoseyn Entezami, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance’s deputy for media affairs, at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah in Qom. They discussed the importance and the position of media representatives and reporters. His Eminence stated that in the Islamic Republic of Iran should have reporters in all fields and professions because the country has many ethnic and religious groups.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained that God Almighty sent down the clear religion of Islam and addressed both Muslims and non-Muslims in the Holy Quran. When God created mankind, He divided them into many tribes, colours and groups but they all have the same mother, Eve, so there is no difference between them. He referred to the teachings of Islam and the Quran, saying that the Islamic government must protect and guide the people and must protect all minorities – both religious and ethnic.
The custodian of the holy shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (A) said that the enemy uses various methods to propagate a negative and false perspective of Islam and Iran in a vain attempt to weaken and destroy the Islamic government. He stated that we should look at the treasury of the Islamic state from a religious and spiritual perspective. He said that in respect to the use of public funds, we must not cause the loss of our people’s rights.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained the importance of the media in promoting Islam’s divine mission and stated: “One of the tasks of the media is to properly cover all newsworthy events and the promotion of the correct message to the people and to show the right way of conduct to the unaware or negligent people in order to guide them to the right path and to not allow them to be fooled by the lies and false propaganda of the enemy.”
At the end of this speech, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi said that sometimes we need to help and guide those who have been mislead to find the right path – the path of towards Islamic knowledge and to lead them away from sin and vice.
