RNA - A number of eminent scholars from Indonesia will visit seminary schools and Quranic centres in the holy city of Qom, Iqna reported.
The director of the public relations office at the research centre for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of the Thought that seven scholars will pay a pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S) in Qom on September 22.
After a four-day stay in the holy city of Qom, the scholars will travel to Tehran and the holy city of Mashhad. They will present lectures at a forum on Islamic unity and discuss necessities and approaches as well as the role of Muslim scholars in promoting unity in the world of Islam.
Islamic teachings leading to unity, role of politics in Islamic unity, and problems and obstacles to unity among Muslims will be among the themes to be investigated by the scholars at the forum.
The Indonesian scholars will have a meeting with Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi, and pay visits to Imam Khomeini (RA) Educational Research Institute, Radio Ma’aref, Noor Computer Research Centre and the holy shrine of Imam Khomeini (RA).
The group also plans to visit the Faydhiyyah Seminary, the library of Grand Ayatollah Mar’ashi-Najafi and the house of Imam Khomeini (RA).
Participation at scientific forums on “the role of religious schools in facing the challenges in the Islamic world,” “political challenges in the Islamic world and Palestine in particular” and “religious challenges in the Islamic world and the Salafis in particular” will also be on the group's agenda.
