“I have had a surgery and I am now leaving for the hospital,” Ayatollah Khamenei said speaking to a reporter earlier this morning.
“There is no reason to worry; this, of course, does not mean that I don’t need people’s prayers, but God willing, there is no point to worry as it is a normal operation,” he said. “God willing everything will go on well,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Later reports coming from the hospital said that the surgery had just ended successfully.
