Rasa News Agency reports – Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani, has met with the Friday prayer leaders of the holy city of Mashhad. He discussed the duties of the clergy, which include: answering people’s questions, protecting them from the ideological onslaught of the enemies and protecting the sacred system of Wilayat al-Faqih.
In his speech, he explained the main duties of the clergy, and emphasized that scholars and clergymen have always been a refuge and shelter for people. They have led society to redemption and salvation through their words and their pens. He explained that important features of the clergy include: dealing with people fairly, having humility, good morals and courtesy. His Eminence encouraged those present to have these characteristics.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that the clergy are the righteous hosts of the faith and they should remember this at all times. They must be the leaders of Islam and fight to protect it from deviations and distortions which can put the faith in danger. He emphasized that the seminaries and the clergy must protect the people from theological and religious doubts and noted that the enemies have various tools which they use undermine our religious beliefs and to make our mission more difficult than ever before. The clergy must help strengthen and maintain the spirit and culture of jihad and martyrdom in society.
The protection of the sacred Islamic system and Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) is the main mission of the clergy. Thanks to the wise guidance and management of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei), the Islamic system has been successful.
