Muslim Praying
Rasa News Agency Reports – A development of a Mosque where Muslims in Melbourne pray in found problems caused by anti-Islamic groups.
The Muslims in Melbourne decided to renovate and develop a Mosque near Monash University which is located in the east of Melbourne. The opponents to this plan which are mainly anti-Islamic and right wing groups are saying the Mosque would annoy the people in the area by the recitation of adhan (a call to prayer).
The Muslims are defending their plan for the development of the Mosque for they need more space so they can accommodate the amount of people that attend the mosque daily.
Mohammad Mohi-aldin who is the president of the Islamic Council of The Monash Mosque said: “For the Muslims congregational prayers are very important and we are in need of a place so we can worship in.”
