Rasa News Agency reports – Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri, the director of Islamic Seminaries across Iran, led Friday prayers at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’soumah in the holy city of Qom this week. He spoke about the martyrdom anniversaries of the martyrs Rajaei and Bahonar and of the humiliation of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
This week coincided with the martyrdom anniversaries of the martyrs Mohammad-Ali Rajaei and Mohammad-Javad Bahonar, two important personalities in the early years of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Shahid Rajaei served as the president of Iran and as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Shahid [martyr] Bahonar was an Iranian scholar, Shi’ah theologian and politician who served as a prime minister of Iran. Both were martyred on August 30th, 1981 when they were assassinated by the terrorist group Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK). In their memory, Ayatollah Bushehri noted: “simple living, avoiding selfish desires and egotism and seeking the pleasure of God are some of the important features of these martyrs.”
In regards to the defeat of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, Ayatollah Bushehri said that the situation in Gaza was a victory for the Palestinian people and for the Islamic Resistance because victory cannot be won by the murder of innocent and children as the Zionists did. He added that the aim of the usurping Israeli regime was to attack the occupied territories, disarm the Palestinian resistance, stop them from firing rockets, destroying their tunnel, break the will of the people and to the tighten the siege but they did not meet any of their demands.
Ayatollah Bushehri noted that the truce is a humiliation and a sign of the defeat of the Zionist regime. Even some of the officials of the Zionist regime have admitted that the truce is a humiliation for Israel and an acknowledgement that their illegitimate regime has reached the height of its weakness and that the Zionist experiment has failed.
