RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Abolqasem Yaqoubi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in North Khorasan province, referred to Iran’s approach to defending itself and the oppressed of the world, saying: “The Iranian people rely on the weapon of faith and by using defensive tools, they are ready to defend their country and protect the oppressed against the oppressors of the world.”
His Eminence noted: “If any country threatens Iran, this nation will bury the enemies on the same border that they overstep and we are not afraid to strengthen our defensive capabilities despite the furor of the imperial powers.”
Hujjat al-Islam Yaqoubi added: “While Western powers carry out military exercises in the Persian Gulf, why can’t Iran build and launch new missiles in its own territory or attempt to do similar military exercises?”
He pointed to the continuation of the United States’ animosity and sabotage toward Iran after the nuclear deal and signing of the JCPOA, saying the most important aim of the imperial powers in the post-JCPOA era is to change the behaviour of the Iranian nation, although the Iranian people have proven repeatedly that they are the biggest supporters of the Islamic system and of the Guardianship of the Jurisprudent.
The renowned scholar said that the West and imperial powers want to remove the Iranian nation from its Islamic lifestyle, the religion of Islam, the Guardianship of the Jurisprudent and its own constitution, saying: “The US and the West know that Iran’s behaviour will not change and this nation will continue to resist, just as it did in the past, with the roadmap provided by the late Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei and its Islamic and revolutionary ideals and values.”
Hujjat al-Islam Yaqoubi added that the US says that even after the JCPOA, they will not allow Iran to use US dollars in its foreign trade but US doesn’t know that Iran will not sell its religion for dollars because it has sacrificed many young lives in order to protect its religion.
