RNA – At the beginning of his jurisprudence course in Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi expressed his condemnation of the announcement made by the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council, who had called the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement a terrorist group.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi stated the following in this regard:
One of the strangest things of our time is the recent action of a number of Arab leaders who, in a meeting of theirs, have announced the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement as a terrorist group; it is rather shocking that a resistance group which has given back the Arabs their pride and honour, has been labeled by the same Arabs as a terrorist group!
It comes as a shock that they have named Hezbollah a “terrorist group” while if it had not been for the heroic resistance of this group, Israel would have wiped out all of these Arab states off the face of the earth and occupied their lands as well.
They have called Hezbollah a terrorist group, while they are one of the most valiant individuals in the history of Arabs. Perhaps these Arab leaders need to be reminded that it was this same Hezbollah which put an end to the myth of the invincibility of Israel and crushed the Israeli army.
What is even more interesting is that no sooner had these Arab leaders made their announcement in this regard, than Israel expressed its approval of it! Perhaps you have heard of the joke made in this regard by one of the Arabic newspapers, where it said that the Arab leaders have become subjugated to the will of Israel to the point that it will come as no surprise if one of these days the Israeli prime minister is appointed as the secretary general of the Arab League!
I, however, believe that the Israeli prime minister is already the unofficial secretary general of the Arab League, and this claim is well-corroborated by the fact that Israel’s greatest enemy, i.e. Hezbollah, has been named a terrorist group by the Arab League.
Now let me show you, based on the verses of the Quran, that these people are not Muslims at all. The 22nd verse of Surah al-Mujadilah states the following:
“You will not find any people who believe in God and the Last Day, loving those who resist God and His Messenger [i.e. the enemies of God and those of His Prophet Muhammad].”
If these people had the slightest faith in God and the Day of Judgement, they would not have formed an alliance with their sworn enemy who has usurped their first qiblah and Muslim lands, displaced many innocent Muslims who now live as refugees in other countries for years, and who spills the innocent blood of Muslim youths every day and demolishes their homes.
However, these corrupt leaders must know that they cannot cover up the great victories of Hezbollah by these shameless announcements. Hezbollah will remain as glorious as ever, yet what will remain of these leaders in history will be nothing but shame and a bad reputation.
