RNA – In a meeting with a group of students from Mazandaran province, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani referred to the 9th of Dey epic, which celebrates the end of the 2009 post-election sedition, emphasizing the strong response by the Iranian nation to the sedition by stating that uprising against the seditionists was a popular response to the foreign-supported protests in Iran. It was later revealed that the that the enemies’ intention was to overthrow the Islamic Revolution.
The source of emulation stressed that the enemies of the Islamic Revolution had been slapped in the face and their interests have been compromised by the events of the 9th of Dey and that throughout 2009, the enemies sought to use internal factors and to create sedition through attacks on religious sanctities, tearing up photos of Imam Khomeini and attacking mourning ceremonies for Imam Husayn. Such actions showed the enemies’ malice and hatred toward the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said that the enemies haven’t understood that the Iranian nation is always present on the scene during critical situations and that they sought to prevent sedition and support the revolution, Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei on the path of the school of Ashura and the Ahlul-Bayt and won’t allow foreigners to interfere in the internal affairs of the country.
His Eminence further explained that the 9th of Dey epic was the peak of insight and guardianship by the noble Iranian nation and added that this date is considered as one of the ‘Days of God’ and must be celebrated every year across the country.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that everyone should be vigilant against the sedition of the arrogance powers and that in the current era, the Muslim world is currently facing new forms of sedition – including the sedition and sectarianism created between Sunnis and Shi’ites and the creation of Takfirism. “In order to overcome this sedition, we must be vigilant and insightful,” he said.
The source of emulation explained that the nature of the Americans is synonymous with sedition and they are the number one enemy of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic of Iran. “Imam Khomeini called the United States the ‘Great Satan’ which shows that Americans cannot be trusted in any way,” he said.
