RNA – Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that the repeated statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, regarding insight is a sign of the importance of this issue. Insight is rooted in man’s reason. “Most of the well-educated and literate people have knowledge but reason is something else. Reason is the ability of man to distinguish truth from falsehood,” the revered source of emulation stated.
The renowned scholar explained that guidance is one of the major issues emphasized in the Quran, saying: “Creation and guidance are coupled with each other. Every creature which is created is shown the path of guidance. The effects of guidance in the world in the world include inanimate objects, plants, animals and humans.”
“God has created every creature with a special nature, but among all of His creatures, He has give humankind a higher value and appointed man and the caliph of God on earth,” His Eminence explained.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani described this years’ commemoration of Arba’in al-Husayni in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala as a “unique and heroic epic.” He stated that no one and nowhere in the world can 20 million people gather for the cause of love: “The pilgrims enthusiastic participation was the result of their intellect and love for the Master of the Martyrs of the uprising of Ashura.”
Referring to the lessons of Karbala and the uprising of Ashura, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said Imam Husayn sacrificed his blood to save people from ignorance and from going astray. Crying and mourning are very useful tools to awaken the people from ignorance, but we should seek to root causes and think more about them.
The revered source of emulation also emphasized that religion is not separate from politics and that in his speeches, Imam Husayn emphasized that people should stand up against oppression and must not remain silent.
At the end of his speech, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani referred to the West’s goals in creating the Takfiri phenomenon. “The Takfiri phenomenon, including groups like ISIL, was created and is funded by the arrogant Western powers as a bulwark against the Islamic Awakening and to prevent the progress of the Islamic world,” he emphasized.
“We must strive to introduce the world to true Islam so that they become familiar with this heavenly religion. [Also] We must expose the true face of the enemies of Islam so that we can witness the destruction of terrorist groups like ISIL,” Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani concluded.
