RNA – In a meeting with a group of women seminarians, Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani spoke of Wilayat al-Faqih, the importance of hijab in society as well as the Takfiri phenomenon.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that he considers Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) one of the crucial issues and doctrines of Islam and especially in Shi’ism. He stated that Wilayat al-Faqih is not a matter of jurisprudence only, but it is a social and political matter as well. It also has philosophical, theological and historical dimensions and is based on the Quran and Islamic narrations. He added that the reason that Wilayat al-Faqih has penetrated deep within the souls of the Iranian people is because it is a continuation of the guardianship of the Prophet Muhammad (S) and the Infallible Imams (A) and embraces all spheres. For the past three decades, it has been able to maintain the authority of the Islamic Revolution and push back the enemy.
His Eminence pointed to the issue of the hijab and chastity, pointing out that the chastity is one of the commonalities between women and men. “Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Iranian women have stood alongside men. Women had a strong and active presence in on the warfront as well. One of the many blessings of the Islamic Revolution has been the increased role of women in society.” he added. He also stressed the need to preserve the Islamic headscarf in the Islamic Republic, and noted that human rights propagate slogans of freedom yet several Western countries prevent women from wearing the Islamic headscarf in their countries. Therefore, they cannot be role models for Iran and other countries in the area of human rights.
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that the so-called Islamic State, as well as other Takfiri groups, such as the Taliban, are creations of the global arrogance and its allies throughout the world, especially the Zionist usurper, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France and Germany. “Saudi and Qatari oil money was used to create the IS. They sent militants to Syria because it was part of the ‘resistance axis’ against Israel but they were not successful and now the IS has become a problem for them. They also want to eliminate authentic Islam. It is unfortunate that some Islamic countries helped them in their goals,” he explained.
He pointed to statements by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) when he was discharged from hospital about America’s plans in the region, and said: that “IS grew up in the embrace of the West and America, there is no meaning in the formation of a coalition to confront it, especially because America is known as the chief sponsor of terrorism in the world.”
