RNA (Qom) – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News International, Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi, the director of the Imam Khomeini (RA) Institute says that the so-called Islamic State terrorist group was created by Western countries, especially the United States, in order to strike at the Islamic system, especially that of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The United States is the founder of IS, and it along with several Arab countries and the Zionist entity, support these terrorists. Their claim to be fighting against the IS is obviously false. [This shows that] they have another agenda in the region. The American-led coalition against the IS is just an excuse for their warmongering in the region,” His Eminence explained.
He referred to the defeat of the Western-supported terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria, saying that the US has realized that their plots have been defeated in these two countries. They were forced to withdraw from Iraq after their miserable defeat. In Syria, the militants have not been able to overthrow the government of President Bashar al-Asad and not been able to gain a foothold in the region. For this reason, they have created the IS as part of a new scheme to control the region. According to their plan, the US will also benefit by eventually claiming victory in the fight against IS.
Hujjat al-Islam Rajabi explained that the US wants to show itself to be a real fighter against terrorism as uses this as pretext to attack the positions of IS but its aim to undermining the Islamic system and to gain dominance in the Middle East. He further said that the Islamic Republic of Iran would never join the American coalition, and said that Iran will show the world the truth of the American plot and will strive to enlighten the world that the US and the West are the creators and the supporters of these Takfiri terrorists. He also said that US and the West are not looking to fight the terrorists, but instead are their supporters. Iran should shame these aggressors by supporting the Iraqi and Syrian governments.
