RNA - Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, issuing a statement, condemned the inhuman and illegal conduct of the Nigerian government towards Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and asked the foreign ministry to take any possible action for his liberation.
The statement reads:
In the name of God, the Merciful the Compassionate
Several reports have been released on the bad health status of the leader of the Nigerian Islamic Movement, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, in prison. The government and military forces of Nigeria, supported by the US, the Zionist Regime and the House of Saud have much wronged Sheikh Zakzaky, his family and followers, and such pressures haven’t been eased yet. Besides, no attempts have been made by the so-called human right organisations for rescuing this Shiite leader from the chains.
Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, condemning this cruel and illegal act of the Nigerian government, announces that the Nigerian government is responsible for preserving the life of Sheikh Zakzaky and for what happens to him. It is supposed to take the required actions for the liberation and treatment of this Shiite leader. Moreover, we urge the IRI foreign ministry to do its best for the liberation of this combatant.
