Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi said that the United States’ tightening of sanctions against Iran is another nonsensical move and said, “Ayatollah Khamenei said that Trump is fleeting and Iran remains.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi said that the tightening of the sanctions against the Iranian people is another nonsensical move made by the United States and stressed that Iraq will not comply with the decisions made by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and added, “Ayatollah Khamenei [the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution] said that Trump is fleeting and Iran remains.”
The Iraqi Shi’ah scholar valued the convening of a conference under the title “Our Blood Is One” in Baghdad in honour of the Iranian martyrs whose blood was mixed with Iraqi blood in battles against the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.
While thanking the Popular Mobilization Forces for stressing this cohesion and solidarity, he added, “This conference is a message to the world that Iraq isn’t abandoning its allies.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi also expressed his condolences to the victims of the series of coordinated terrorist suicide bombings against three churches and four hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday (April 21st) and warned that there are hidden hands of the colonist and arrogant powers in order to create strife between Christians and Muslims.
His Eminence likewise denounced the tragic execution of 37 people in Saudi Arabia by the sword, expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and condemned the criminal act carried out by Saudi Arabia on false charges.
He called for the liberation of the Saudi people, both Shi’ahs and Sunnis and called for patience by the Shi’ahs of Saudi Arabia over the injustice of the House of Saud.
Concerning the law of the sanctity of Najaf, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi said that this law doesn’t mean restricting liberties insofar as it’s a refinement of freedoms that Islam believes in and called on young people to understand this matter and help in its implementation.
He added, “Islam supports polite and committed freedom and not uncontrolled freedom. The law of the sanctity of Najaf doesn’t mean the restriction of freedoms as much as it’s respect for the freedoms, emotions and religion and values of the people.”
Hundreds of residents in Najaf rallied on April 7th and called for a new law that would “strengthen the sanctity” of the city of the holy city, which is home to the shrine of Imam Ali.
