Rasa – While visiting the Holy City of Karbala, Japan’s ambassador to Iraq met with the representative of Ayatollah al-Sistani for discussion. RNA – Naofumi Hashimoto, Japan’s ambassador to Iraq, traveled to the holy city of Karbala to meet with representatives of the Shi’ah religious authorities to discuss the country’s capacities.
Ambassador Hashimoto visited Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ahmad al-Safi, representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani and custodian of the Holy Shrine of Hadhrat Abbas and the two sides discussed ways to create and increase cooperation in various fields, especially in regard to medical and cultural issues.
