RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala’s Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbala’i said, “Political disagreements and conflicts on positions and posts will cause the stability in the country to be shaken and opportunities to serve the people will be lost.”
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Karbala stated that the differences existing in society on various issues, whether between politicians or tribes or others, didn’t produce any results and only led to the failure of the country and added, “It’s time for politicians to wake up from their sleep of negligence and learn from the past and think about the people.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i stated, “When the conflict begins, the two sides will use any means to overcome and defeat their adversaries and, as each of the parties involved has certain facilities, the result will be the weakening of the community.”
His Eminence stressed that it was necessary to settle the disputes between families, work and society through reconciliation and said, “Politicians must resolve civil conflicts by engaging in sacrifices and the rewards of these sacrifices will be safeguarded for them in the hereafter.”
He stressed upon the necessity of avoiding violence and said, “We hope that dear tribes and our fellow countrymen will pay attention to the order of their affairs and will engage in correct judgement and avoid solving conflicts with power, violence and weapons.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i stated that the disputes and problems must be referred to the shari’ah and the law, “The tribes must know that no one wins in the conflicts and they only lose the opportunity to serve the people.”
