The Iraqi Shi’ah scholar added, “The Iraqi people, with the help of their allies, were able to achieve victory over the Daesh terrorist movement and Iran deserves special thanks for its great assistance and support to Iraq.”

In another part of his Friday prayer sermon, His Eminence mentioned the statements of Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the United States House of Representatives, on the necessity of the resignation of the President of the United States, and said, “While she advocates the resignation of Donald Trump, she also speaks in defence of his position saying ‘he has done nothing wrong over the past two years.’ This fact is the reality of the international community and reflects its wretched condition.”
In his sermon on religious issues, he referred to the virtues of the Islamic month of Rajab and said, “Supplicating and seeking forgiveness in this blessed month has many rewards.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi described the successful holding of the commemoration of the martyrdom of the tenth Infallible Imam, Ali ibn Muhammad al-Hadi, in Samarra and thanked the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, in particular the Saraya al-Salam Battalion, for their role in providing security for the pilgrims and the roads leading to the Askariyayn Shrine and mourning camps.”
