Ayatollah Arafi stated that due to the sanctions and Coronavirus, living conditions are intolerable and called on the authorities to change the current unhealthy situation with a jihadi spirit and careful planning. RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the world and said, “The Coronavirus provided lessons of warning and awareness to the world, while we must be careful and diligent. To work against the Coronavirus, we must also heed moral and spiritual lessons and warnings over tribulations.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran offered his condolences on the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad and commemorated the day of Dhu al-Ardh [The Spreading of the Earth] and the forthcoming month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
Referring to the people’s livelihood problems, he said, “In the last week, the grand religious authorities (sources of emulation) and leaders of the seminaries gave recommendations and placed emphasis in this regard to the country’s officials. We all know that we are in a situation of sanctions and sanctions have their own effects. We are suffering from the Coronavirus and people also know that the Islamic system has made great achievements in various economic and industrial fields.”

The member of the jurists of the Guardian Council referred to the seditions of the West and foreign media and said, “The people, as always, must be vigilant and watch out for the sedition and the plans of the enemies and the anti-revolutionaries. The West and their mercenaries can’t see the dignity, security and authority of the Iranian people and they want to destroy the security and comfort of Iran and they have spent millions of dollars in this regard.”
He added, “There are serious problems and difficulties and the officials have a duty to solve the problems with fast and accurate planning but the people must also be careful not to allow sedition to the enemies of the country.”
Referring to the games of the Western media regarding the Iran-China 25-Year Agreement, Ayatollah Arafi said, “We saw how much sedition the Westerners and their mercenaries had regarding the Iran-China Agreement. According to the law, the agreement must be approved by the parliament [Islamic Consultative Assembly] and this process will take place but the agreement, which was from the position of the Iranian nation and outside the domination of the West, has ended for the enemies and they are trying to address this issue in a different way through media games.”
His Eminence stressed, “This agreement can reduce the impact of the enemies’ oppressive sanctions and break all the issues which are linked to the West. The Iranian people are certain that the officials, the parliament and the Guardian Council will be careful in concluding this agreement.”
In conclusion, Ayatollah Arafi called on all people to pay attention to and follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education to deal with the further spread of the Coronavirus.
