RNA - A top-rank member of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Hujjat al-Islam Hashem Safi ad-Din, described the sanctions of the US as cruel and violation of the rights of the Lebanese people.
As reported by al-Akhbar Paper, Safi ad-Din expressed, “What the US can do is imposing sanctions, threatening to attack, cruelty and violations of the rights of people and businessmen, yet, such steps can’t change the fact.”
Safi ad-Din stressed, “The US can’t gain the upper hand in Lebanon despite all its pressures, sanctions, threats and its support of Israel. Enemies should know such hostile action are not effective anymore.”
Reportedly, in addition to the increase of pressures on Hezbollah, the US is going to impose sanctions against the allies of this group and the Shiite politicians associated with this group.
