Iraqi scholar, Ayatollah Yaqubi, stressed youths’ attention to the acquisition of knowledge and culture, an act that leads to the formation of a virtuous society and characters. According to the correspondent of Rasa News Agency in the holy city of Najaf, Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Yaqubi, an Iraqi scholar, met by a group of athletes of Basra province, stressing youths’ attention to the acquisition of knowledge and culture, stated that a virtuous society is formed only through training virtuous individuals.
He added, “The youth harbour ambitions and desires in themselves, thereby, they should attend to human, social and cultural activities and attempt to eradicate cruelty and deprivation.”
This Iraqi scholar, stressing that sports practices benefit both the body and the soul, said, “Tear of the youth while hearing their national anthem shows their love towards their own motherland.”
Finally, Ayatollah Yaqubi criticised some officials and politicians for injecting disappointment into the society.
