RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Hoseyn Bonyadi, the vice-president of the general assembly of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, made important remarks about the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution which was issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] and the necessity to make efforts toward building thought and its practical applications.
He stated, “Considering the strategic position of the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution, many explanatory, diverse and useful explanatory topics have been made by experts on the importance of issuing this statement, its axes, topics and objectives which have largely determined the purposes of the statement.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminaries of Qom emphasized that the academic and elite community must enter the stage of strategies for fulfilling the demands of the Supreme Leader in the form of individual or collective research and said, “Achieving this important level will help so that activities in the step of explanation aren’t focused or stopped. For this reason, it’s necessary to move research and related and extracted projects from the topics and axes of the statement toward practical work.”
To explain the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Bonyadi considered thinking and theorizing, which requires the wise spread of related academic chairs in the seminary and university fields.
His Eminence emphasized that paying attention to the statements of the Supreme Leader as one of the key points and a way to understand the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution.
In this regard, he said, Ayatollah Khamenei has repeatedly emphasized the advancement and progress of research in all fields and as the same style has been proposed in the “Islamic-Iranian Blueprint for Progress.” Also, in addition to the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution, while pointing out the necessity of a suitable model, the Supreme Leader stated, “There was no prior experience or way forward for us. It’s obvious that Marxist uprisings and the like could not be considered a model for the revolution that emerged from the text of Islamic faith and knowledge. The Islamic revolutionaries began without precedent and experience, and the combination of republicanism and Islamism and the means of its formation and progress could not be achieved except with divine guidance and the enlightened heart and great thought of Imam Khomeyni and this was the first radiance of the revolution.”
Ayatollah Bonyadi considered attention to the words and textual and meta-thematic issues of the Statement on the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution as an important factor in understanding the methods and type of research appropriate to this issue and specified, “It seems necessary to provide comprehensive models that are appropriate to the system of topics and objectives raised in the statement – especially on a weekly basis – as the best appendices to the statement are to provide constructive models on the horizon of modern Islamic civilization.”
