A teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom emphasized the importance of avoiding taking a superficial look at the Statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution and said, “Today, we must to take an ijtihadi and inferential look at this statement.” RNA – A conference has been held at Rasa News Agency with the approach of explaining the mission of the Islamic Seminaries and clergy in response to the Statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, which has been drafted by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Speaking at the conference, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Bonyadi said, “We must pay attention to the date of the issuance of the Statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution. As you know a statement on the First Phase of the Islamic Revolution was also issued by the Supreme Leader on the first anniversary of the death of Imam Khomeyni.”
The late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution passed away on June 3, 1989.
Noting that on this statement was issued with a fair historical perspective on the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the member of the General Assembly of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said, “In this statement, the role of the Islamic Seminaries are highlighted because the intellectual foundations of the Islamic Revolution took place in the Islamic Seminaries.”
Hujjat al-Islam Bonyadi emphasized, “The preparations for the Islamic Revolution were made by the Islamic Seminaries and the flagbearers of the Islamic Revolution are the Islamic Seminaries and this burden must take the Islamic Seminaries to their destination.”
He said, “First, a superficial look at the Statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution reduces its weight because unfortunately some of the discussions on it are superficial and if the direction of these discussions are weak, they won’t be validated by passage of time.”
Hujjat al-Islam Bonyadi emphasized, “We have to take a deep look at the important points as they arise, as many of them need to be studied in ijtihadi and inferential terms. It’s necessary to look at the principles and rules and therefore, the importance of the Statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution is in its weight.”
