RNA – The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom issued a statement condemning the attack on Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
The headquarters of an anti-terror group within the Popular Mobilization Forces was attacked in southern Baghdad during the early hours of Friday, June 26, raising suspicions about the American role in Iraq.
More than a dozen members of Kata’ib Hezbollah were reportedly detained during the raid. Initial reports said several commanders of the anti-American group, which is integrated into Iraq’s security forces, were among those arrested.
Kata’ib Hezbollah is an anti-American unit operating under the Popular Mobilization Forces which includes more than 40 militia groups fighting Takfiri terrorism.
The text of this statement is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The recent incident in Baghdad and the conspiratorial and seditionist actions of the United States in its attack on the Popular Mobilization Forces and arrest of Kata’ib Hezbollah fighters was a completely anti-Iraqi and arrogant act that was thwarted by the timely vigilance and action of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the popular equations have demonstrated their power in Iraq to the Americans.
Although this is an internal matter in Iraq, any pressure and sedition against the fighters of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Islamic Resistance Axis in Iraq will have serious international consequences.
The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom called on the Iraqi people and political groups to be vigilant against sedition and declared, “Any action that threatens the interests and independence of Iraq and strengthens the foothold of the Americans in the region and Iraq is an arrogant and seditionist act. If the Iraqi parliament’s decision to force the withdrawal of foreign troops, especially American troops, from Iraq is not taken into account and this plan is not implemented, Iraq will witness the corruption and sedition of the Americans every day.”
Undoubtedly, the Iraqi people will move in the direction of the religious authority’s guidelines, given their Islamic and revolutionary concerns, and will sacrifice their religious and national identities until the end of their lives. The dignity, independence, tranquillity and progress of Iraq and the glory of this awakened nation is not an unattainable dream and the awakened and brave Iraqi nation will not allow the invaders to regain control of this country and will cut off American evil from Iraq as soon as possible, God-willing.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be with you,
Mohammad Yazdi
